We’re often asked about the difference between Virtual Reality, 3D panoramas, and 3D visualizations. So many terms for what seems like the same thing. That’s why we’ve broken down our services to explain each product in more detail – so you can understand what makes each experience unique.
3D Visualizations
3D visualization refers to the transformation of technical drawings and 2D data into fully three-dimensional virtual models or spaces. These 3D models are either freely created in specialized software or based on imported CAD data. Every modeling step and dimension is stored individually, allowing precise adjustments at any time. Once lighting and camera settings are in place, the scene is rendered into a photorealistic image.
Process
After receiving your project plans (e.g. PDF files), we provide you with a tailored quote. The cost depends on the architecture and scale of your project, as well as the number of visualizations and whether a 3D model already exists. If you have a model, we check and prepare it for visualization. If not – as is often the case – we create a custom 3D model specifically for your illustration needs.
Virtual Reality (VR)
Virtual Reality (VR) is not the real world – it's a fully immersive, computer-generated environment created using visuals, sound, and even touch. With the help of VR headsets, users can dive into this interactive digital space in real time. They can walk around freely, interact with objects using controllers (most effectively with the HTC Vive), and explore spaces that don’t exist yet – like properties still in the planning phase. This allows your clients to “walk through” their future home before construction even begins.
Process
Once we receive your project plans (e.g. PDF files), we prepare a tailored quote based on the size and complexity of your design. You may provide a 3D model, which we will verify and adapt for the VR experience. If no model is available – which is often the case – we’ll create a custom 3D version specifically for your VR tour. And if you or your clients don’t have a VR headset? No problem – we’ll gladly bring our own and guide you through the virtual experience on-site.
Enscape Standalone
Using our software, we can create a standalone file (in .exe format) that contains your project model. It’s a fully self-running application – either mono or stereoscopic – that requires no additional software to use. You can explore your project instantly on any compatible computer: switch perspectives, follow animations, or freely navigate the 3D space, whether along a predefined path or at your own pace.
